We Will Have A Doctor At Home

When we were young, the regular scenario in our home was a fight scene between my sister and me. Back then, I was way smaller than Ate. We would exchange pinches, punches and even slaps. At one point, I can remember that Mom gave us knives. Haha! Of course, we were afraid to get cut too, no slashing scenes! My apologies in disappointing you. Haha! We grew old. Petty fights are set aside. We grew mature. Fight scenes were ceased, we cuddle each other instead.

This Christmas break is all about family. I spent time with Ate. We talked a lot. We shared frustrations.

We will have a doctor at home. Ate graduated from BS Biology in UP Los BaƱos. She was all set to entering the medical field. She took NMAT and was able to enter UERM, one of the well-known med schools. The first three years were filled with sleepless nights studying – well, it seemed effortless, this was her thing. When we were together, she would boast jargons they use in med. She would scold people about their health, followed by a geeky explanation. We would end up drop jawed, or sometimes, pissed off (siya na ang doctor!).

So it came, fourth year med at UERM is spent for internships. Ate was excited. She bought everything needed as soon as she got hold of the list. Excitement wasn’t enough. We do know how much effort she put in preparation, but I guess it wasn’t enough for the real thing. I saw how she looked after months of internship. Stress. I never saw her like that. She was losing weight. She was losing appetite. She was losing composure. All the enthusiasm was drained out of her system. I am sure that her internship was definitely hard, knowing she was a strong person. I found tears roll from her eyes. I never saw her that way. A month later – she quit.

Getting out from UERM was not easy, but the days later were harder, I could tell. People can only torment her by why she quit – they didn’t know how it was. Torture! Physical plus emotional. They don’t know my sister. They go to that hell. After that, I will listen to them.

We will have a doctor at home. Give it less than a year.  She just had a little detour, but rest assured, we will have a doctor at home. This time, it is certain. This Christmas break made me see somebody that wants to prove something. She will cry no more.

I’m totally excited to that day! We will have a doctor at home.

Suddenly, I Felt Like Writing Again

I feel like the pace of time has doubled. If only I could stop time, there's just so many things that I wish I could have done earlier.

My entry to the blogosphere (as Cecile would put it - http://cecilemaris.com/) is just trying it out. Check out my first blog at Blogger. Publishing online without anyone to fill my page with red marks is so cool. I know right? You got it, I'm a frustrated writer. I got 3 in my creative writing class. My friends would reprimand me with my grammar and syntax, but here, I feel like an author of bestsellers. My entries show how emotional I could get over simple things - these I cannot express in person. After reading Cecile's entry (click the 1st link in this entry), the reason why I blog boggled me. Thinking gave me a break in my academic to-do list. Bwalah! Here is another EMO post from me.

Now I know why I suddenly felt like a writer. Every post I put in this blog is more than just a pump of self-esteem to publish or just a mere hobby. Every post is an account of the things that I just found out I wanted to do. Every post is struggle to freeze time and do more things I never did. Suddenly, I felt like writing again because I feel that this lifetime is not enough to overcome my frustrations and by this blog, I want to remember that when I grow old - to know if I could debunk my claim.

Christmas Equals Operation Resuscitate Eridanare

Recently, I was really into Multiply. Blog, Pictures and all that multimedia online. It was really fun there, seeing people who check your site and even comment on your posts. Out of the blue, I wanted to revive where I published online first, my blogger, here it is.

Take note of the date of my latest post before this. August 01, 2007. Beat that! It’s been ages already! Hahaha! I guess it’s time to bring this blog back to life. This blog will contain my rants, reflections and misadventures. Be acquainted with the new Eridanare Ordinare a.k.a BINOG. Daring. Breaking from his shell. Now he knows how to choose well, and live up to those decisions (the hell! what a late bloomer? bastard!). Be ready!

Eridanare woke, put a little jazz on his blog. All is set. Do comment and leave your note on the Cbox (rightmost sidebar) – Eridanare will be delighted to hear from you. Visit once in a while. :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY!!

Let's enjoy the holiday season and stay productive. Pede naman sabay yun rayt?! :P
